we are a

venture-based studio & community-based store

building new futures.

As we accelerate into the new year, I am thrilled to share some of the magic that we’ve been brewing at Epic Decade. The last seven-months have been an inspired marathon. We have been immersed in a series of catalytic milestones from restructuring into an ecosystem of businesses to prototyping extraordinary new ventures to acquiring once in a lifetime real estate to codifying the methods to our (successful) madness.

We are in the time travel business.

The Curiosity Store was purchased, cleaned out, stripped down to a shell, designed, and rebuilt from floors to walls to a staged experience journey, and opened to the public in 6-months. We compressed what can ordinarily be a 12-month program into half the time. This is only possible because we use the processes of design to invent, incubate, accelerate, and fabricate new prototype futures.

We have acquired the “one-room schoolhouse” on the island of Jamestown and converted it into the Curiosity Store – a public anchor of our vision, acting as an experience laboratory incubated as a bookstore, wine bar, design studio, and pop-up courtyard.  It’s a lobby into radical curiosity.

The site converges the powerful art of storytelling to compel new narratives, the joy of gathering to catalyze social cohesion, the rigor of systems thinking to redesign everything, and our history as a studio working with Apple Stores to reimagine the future of retail.
